World Adrift – shows potentially great and revolutionary technology

Bossa’s airborne MMO Worlds Adrift underwent its first alpha playtest in November, and the trailer that resulted was pretty exciting—not so much for the gameplay it put on display, as for its obvious potential. TheImprobable technology that powers it, if it pays off as promised, will enable all sorts of physics-based gameplay that has thus far been impossible to achieve, and so while it’s very early days right now, Worlds Adrift could herald some very big changes coming on the shelves in relatively near future. SQUAD – NEW TACTICAL SHOOTER EARLY ACCESS TRAILER

Large-scale tactical shooter Squad hit Early Access today, although that choreographed trailer shows off less about the game than it does the United States’ defence budget. Squad is from some of the developers behind the Battlefield 2 mod Project Reality, a total overhaul that requires teams to cooperate when faced with vast maps and the brutal realities of proper bullet physics. Turok:Dinosaur Hunter

Turok: The Dinosaur Hunter looked great upon release in 1997 but let’s be honest: it’s aged poorly. That hasn’t stopped Night Dive Studios from remastering the dinosaur shooting classic, which looks decidedly less foggy now than it did back in the ’90s.
